Why do I need to make an introduction post?

This is one of most asked questions and easiest answered.
We need to know that 1. you're a genuine member vs. bot or spam registration. 2. We need to know which venue (game) you signed up to join. Access is different for each one.
The best way to answer both of these is to make an introductory post. We'd also like to know a little about who you are- out of character.
