Having been one of the good guys, Jazz received a hero's funeral. Shortly after which he was recovered from the Arizona desert grave by the empath Tara Redman, Jazz was reconstructed and ‘brought back to life’ by cybernetics specialist Dr. Joyce Baylen.

Jazz loves Earth culture. He is always looking to learn me. His knowledge of Earth made him the indispensable right-hand man to Optimus Prime. He takes most dangerous missions. Jazz maintains a cool demeanor, is considered very stylish and competent. In his cycle form, he is equipped with a photon rifle, full-spectrum beacon, and two micro mini-missile launchers.

Jazz’s memory is a bit scrambled since his destruction at the hands of Megatron. Still, he is grateful for having been recovered by Tara and reconstructed by Dr. Baylen. Although his new form is smaller than his Autobot comrades, Jazz does not allow it to hinder him. It is because of his new size that he is able to go where they cannot, entering rooms and structures where none other can go.

While his motorcycle form is also smaller than his former Porsche form, as with the ladder, he enjoys the thrill of being a prototype for a new Autobot. Smaller, faster, more agile, and capable of going where only humans can go, Jazz will prevail.
